Running a dating agency can be a killer…

Shelley Linley is sick of sickos. Yet another prankster has applied to her dating agency. This one says he’s a vampire and he wants Shelley to help him find a wife.

Meeting him for a second interview against all her better judgement, Shelley discovers that he has no clue about women. A shame because he’s super-hot, amusing, and has a lot of single friends he could recommend her struggling business to, even if he does say they’re werewolves and demons. She has to help him, even if he’s crazy.

If she can ignore his delusions, she’s sure she can help him meet someone. But when death threats start arriving on her doorstep, Shelley’s not sure she’s cut out for the job…then her dating algorithm states she’s his ideal partner. Now she’s not sure if she should take the risk for love, or run like hell.

Welcome to Withernsea and the Supernatural Dating Agency, for readers of Michelle Rowen, Gerry Bartlett and Michele Bardsley who like their humour to have bite.

We are pleased to welcome Juliet Cromwell  to the 2018 Darker signing!

Like many children born in the fifties I was raised in a society caught between the aftermath of WW 2 and the progressive movement of the 60s, against a backdrop of the Vietnam War, the Cold War, fear of communism and nuclear annihilation with a large helping of racial and sexual discrimination.

My childhood home was remote, as were my parents and I spent much of my time with my faithful dog making up alternative realities. Unlike many authors, I did not have my nose buried in books as I found reading almost impossible due to my dyslexia.

My first experience of school was at an austere convent, before, aged seven, I was sent to boarding school. I witnessed many dark events within these unaccountable institutions and left virtually illiterate. It was only after leaving compulsory eduction that I was able to teach myself to read and use an analogue clock.

I spent my young adult years living and working in London before studying history while raising my children. On turning fifty my family bought me a computer. I spent the first six weeks wondering what I would ever do with it before making up my mind to write down some of the stories that continually whirl around inside my head.

I now live by the sea with my best friend who supports and encourages my writing. She also graciously agreed to drop everything and spend this last summer indulging my fascination with history by walking the Camino de Santiago with me.

I feel very blessed to have the love of a good family around me and am forever grateful for the many positive reviews I continue to receive for my novels.

We are pleased to welcome Stephanie Hudson to the 2018 Darker signing!
818LhrzRlzL._UX250_

Stephanie Hudson has dreamed of being a writer ever since her obsession with reading books at an early age. What first became a quest to overcome the boundaries set against her in the form of dyslexia has turned into a life’s dream. She first started writing in the form of poetry and soon found a taste for horror and romance. Afterlife is the first book in the series of seven, with the story of Keira and Draven becoming ever more complicated in a world that sets them miles apart.

When not writing, Stephanie enjoys chatting with her fans and spending time with her friends. Being with her loving family as much as she can including her wonderful daughter Ava and supportive husband and personal muse Blake, who is there for her no matter what.

“My Love and devotion is to all of my wonderful fans that keep me going into the wee hours of the night, but foremost to my wonderful daughter Ava…who yes, is named after a Demonic bird.”

Afterlife Saga is going to be 10 books in total, which includes the books that are in two parts plus spin-offs, as some stories are just too big for one book, and at the moment she is working on Book 10, the last in the series.

We are pleased to welcome Sarah Michelle Lynch to the Leeds 2019 event!
30441730_474033713033604_438107181250772992_n

Some readers run at Sarah with hugs and kisses, while others shoot daggers at her for killing their favourite character off. Sarah can only apologise and say, “The story made me do it…”

Sarah Michelle Lynch is a former journalist who wrote a trilogy of science fiction novels while on maternity leave. In 2012 she took a deep breath and published the “Ravage Trilogy” which was later re-edited and became the UNITY novels. Sarah is lucky that some readers have been with her since the very beginning and have read all the different books she’s written.

It quickly became clear from reader response that Sarah has a flair for penning erotic scenes and so, Sarah took inspiration from real-life people around her and wrote “A Fine Profession”, a compelling and compassionate read. At book signings readers often confess in a whisper that they’ve read this book – Sarah’s first erotic novel – and sometimes, readers have even admitted it’s their personal favourite.

Sarah loves nothing more than to put her feet up with a book and be consumed by a story, so in turn, she endeavours to give you all this and more.

Find Sarah here:

you can tweet her @SarahMichelleLy

We are pleased to welcome  Jacky Dahlhaus to the 2018 Darker signing!

Jacky_Dahlhaus

Hi Everybody,

Thank you for popping over to find out a bit more about me.

I live in the beautiful countryside of north-eastern Scotland. My house looks out over a paddock of sheep and the iconic Bennachie hills range.

I have written three vampire romance novels in the Suckers Trilogy: Living Like A Vampire, Raising A Vampire, and Killing A Vampire. The third and last one is due to be published soon. Releasing A Vampire is a novelette and the prequel to the Suckers Trilogy. I’m a bit sad that the trilogy has ended, but I have plenty of new ideas in my head to write.

All three stories of the Suckers Trilogy are set in Maine, US, as I love that countryside. The colors during fall are so beautiful. I’ve never been there, but it’s on my bucket list of places to visit!

In November 2015, I joined a local writers’ club and with them, I write short stories of about one thousand words each. You can find them under the heading ‘Short Stories’ at the top of the page. I have compiled twenty of them into a little bundle, called Short Shockers, and it is available on Amazon.

I love blogging although I admit my novel writing has priority. What do I blog about? My writing, the books I’ve read, the movies I’ve watched (I watch more movies than I read books). Now and again I do a guest blog on other people’s blog and will let you know when and where this happens. I’ll try and get more guest bloggers to post on my blog as well. I will also be blogging about my home renovations and my weight loss journey. Sigh. So much to write, so little time!

In February 2016, I started Aberdeenshire Film Productions, a club for people enjoying making short films. I have the role of writer, producer, and director of the group. It is a bit much and I do hope we can find a producer soon. Together, we try and film short stories (mostly written by me). It’s a lot of fun. One of my vampire stories that we filmed, called ‘Busted!’ was screened at the Inverness Film Festival (2017). I am so proud about that! By the way, the above image of myself at the top of this page was taken during this shoot. I love dress-ups and especially wearing my fangs 😀

I wish you happy reading!

With kind regards,

Jacky Dahlhaus
