Please welcome E.S Carter to the Leeds author event!

Avid reader and mother of 3, I previously worked in human resource management before taking on the best but most demanding job I’ve ever had … being a Mother 🙂

I have been writing since childhood, the bookworm gene an abnormal manifestation as no-one else in my family is obsessed with books.
I’m happy to say I have passed this gene on to my youngest child who has been devouring books since the very day she could hold one in her hand.

My debut novel ‘Nineteen’ released in May 2015, I hope you enjoy it!
Please feel free to get in touch, I would love to hear from you ♥

Pleased to  welcome Karen Frances to the Leeds 2018 signing event!

I live just outside Glasgow, Scotland with my husband of seventeen years and
our, sometimes delightful, five children. My busy days include helping my
husband manage the family business, while the kids take up the majority of the
time, schools runs, parties and all the various sports clubs they attend. I find
escape from the chaos of everyday life in good books, particularly stories of
passionate romantic relationships. Lets face it we all dream of the happily ever

For as far back as I can remember , I have devoted y time to family and business
and for that I wouldn’t change a thing. But over the past few years I started
thinking about what I wanted to do for myself. I had a niggling feeling to write, but
pushed it to the back of my mind. Several months later and it was still there along
with the names Elizabeth and Alexander. So I thought why not give it a go.

Never in a million years when I started writing He’s Captured My Heart, a tale of
contemporary erotic romance set in Scotland, did I think I would actually finish it,
never mind do anything with it.

Publishing He’s Captured My Heart has to be one of the most scariest things I have ever done and at the same time one of the most exciting. So I do hope you enjoy!

Really looking forward to meeting Karen again xx

Please welcome M B Feeney to the Leeds 2018 event!

M. B. Feeney is an army brat who finally settled down in Birmingham, UK with her other half, two kids and a dog. She often procrastinates by listening to music of all genres and trying to get ‘just one more paragraph’ written on whichever WIP is open; she is also a serious doodler and chocoholic. Writing has been her one true love ever since she could spell, and publishing is the final culmination of her hard work and ambition.

Her publishing career began with two novellas, and she currently has multiple projects under way, in the hopes that her portfolio of what have been described as “everyday love stories for everyday people” will continue to grow. Always having something on the go can often lead to block which eventually gets dissolved by good music and an even better book.
Her main reason for writing is to not only give her readers enjoyment, but also to create a story and characters that stay with readers long after the book is finished, and possibly make someone stop and think “what if . . . ”

We would like to welcome Toya Richardson to the Leeds event!

Although writing has been a big part of life for many years, it’s since 2009 that I’ve completed most of my work. I’m a multi-genre author and have written paranormal romance, contemporary romance, fantasy romance and YA fantasy.

I grew up in Essex, but now reside in Suffolk – with my husband, grown up son and Masai the cat. My other hobbies and interests include; reading, Formula One racing, darts, listening to music – mainly rock, cinema, live concerts, going to the theatre, keeping fit, gardening and holidays.

Inspirations ~  My mum was the biggest driving force in my life, always encouraging me to write down all my thoughts and dreams. She bought me adventure books from an early age and I became engrossed in fantasy worlds and their people. When she died suddenly in 2009, it made me realise how fragile life is and that if you want to achieve something, go out and do it while you can. I also long to dedicate my first book to her, it seems a fitting tribute for her belief in me and my abilities.

There are various sources that inspiration comes from. I’ve always been a big reader and guess my interest started with the Chronicles of Narnia series. I also read two books penned by Victoria Walker, The Winter of Enchantment and The House Called Hadlows. I often made up different worlds and their people in my head from about the age of ten.   My literary heroines and heroes are David Eddings, Sherrylin Kenyon, Robin McKinley, Christine Feehan and J R R Tolkein. I also watch fantasy and paranormal romance films, everything from Sinbad, Jason and the Argonauts, Marvel Comic heroes, Lord of the Rings and the Twilight Saga. Some of my favourite TV programmes are, Fringe, Falling Skies, Sleepy Hollow, Grimm, Moonlight, Blood Ties, Beauty and the Beast, Sinbad and Robin of Sherwood – to name but a few – all of which help to give me ideas in some way.

Aspirations  ~ The dream would be to write full time. It isn’t about the money – it never has been – it’s a passion and I love to create new worlds and characters, to watch them grow and evolve. As long as there are characters and stories in my head, I will continue to enjoy bringing them to life.

We would like to welcome
Jill Turner to the Leeds signing!

Jill Turner began writing as a three year old. What started out as little stories about horses and cats developed over the years into teenage novellas and romances, which are still in a bedroom drawer (and should probably stay there).

A love of writing was fulfilled by a very successful and fast-paced career as a Fleet Street journalist at The Sunday Times, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, and The Daily Mirror among others. Working in journalism fed Jill’s interest in the individual human experience, and developed Jill’s storytelling abilities.

The pursuit of journalism exposed Jill to many of the complexities, tragedies and socio-political contradictions of the human condition.

Jill now lives in the beautiful coastal countryside of South West England, where she writes full time, still writing periodically for national press, and increasingly dedicating her time to fiction writing. She lives with a very clever little boy, who adds infinitely to her life.

A voracious reader, she is passionate about getting young people into literature and has worked as a mentor with Youth At Risk, and Fairbridge/ The Prince’s Trust. When not working, she likes to be out on the beach with her son, or at the nearest riding stables.

We would like to welcome Martin Ferguson to the Leeds event!

I live in Norwich, England and am currently working on the young adult fantasy and historical series ‘Relic Hunters’.

Inspired by the myths and legends my parents told me as a boy and with the help of my ever-suffering wife, a teacher and history graduate, ‘Eagle of the Empire’ will be the first entry in the ‘Relic Hunters’ series.

Over the past five years I have written and released the two fantasy series ‘The Warrior’s Journey’ and ‘Stormheart’, along with the thriller ‘Outlaws’, under the name Edward Drake. I was also one of the authors featured in the Little Bird Publishing House anthology ‘Night Shade’ with the horror story ‘A Beaten and Haunted Heart’.

When not writing am training or at least planning my next challenge. Following a serious knee injury I was told by surgeons never to run or play sports again. Stubborn and reckless, much like the characters in my writing, I have not listened and this year will complete the Great North Run, with a marathon planned next and something much bigger for next year.

Excited Martin will be with us in Leeds and you can find him here:

We would like to welcome Hazel Robinson to the Leeds signing!

“I’ve always had a passion for reading but over the last several years it has become an obsession, a few months ago I decided to put fingers to keys to keyboard (or pen to paper!) and write “Something Missing” a story I’ve had hidden away in the back of my mind for a long time.” Hazel lives in the small town of Rishton in Lancashire. England, with her husband, three children, two cats, dog, rabbit and lizard. She fills her days dashing between school runs, pets and housework and at night she comes to life either writing or watching her favorite program ‘Supernatural’ (yes she is Supernatural obsessed) Her road to writing started with a love for paranormal romance novels, and after finding a passion for tragic romance she set out on the mission to share her own story. After long nights writing and a lot of ‘Supernatural’ episodes she is finally ready to share ‘Something Missing’. Hazel loves nothing better than sitting with a cup of tea, a chocolate biscuit and a good book.

Hi I’m Hazel Robinson and I am the author of Something Missing and several short romance stories. I attended Leeds in 2016 and I’m super excited to be attending Leeds in 2018 with my Little Bird Family.

If I haven’t introduced myself yet, you can find out more about me and my book over at I write romance with a hint of tragedy. The stories I tell explore how love can be a great source of healing.

Here is a little more about my novel, ‘Something Missing’ BLURB: Susan is a survivor; she’s had to be. Orphaned and taken from her home in Winchelsea, she was forced to leave behind the first boy she ever loved. The only boy she ever loved. Now as an adult, Susan is left with both the physical and mental scars of a life devoid of warmth and kindness – a life, she is determined to change for the better. Returning to her childhood home, she is determined to put the demons of her past behind her and start a new. With Max by her side, Susan has a real chance of happiness and healing. But Max has a secret one that risks destroying all hope of a happy ever after. A story of survival, healing and love, ‘Something Missing’ is an engaging, roller-coaster ride of emotions as Susan and Max reveal the scars of their pasts and their hopes for the future.
